Kindness in Action: Honourable Bamidele Salam Donates ?2 Million to UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital
Honourable Bamidele Salam, representing the Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State, paid a visit to the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital on December 22, 2024. This visit was particularly special as it coincided with his wife's birthday, as well as the birthday of the hospital's Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr. Babatunde Afolabi.
During his visit, Honourable Salam demonstrated his generosity by donating ?2 million to support the less privileged patients receiving treatment at the hospital. He also pledged to collaborate with the hospital to identify areas of need before the end of the year.
Honourable Salam took the opportunity to congratulate Dr. Afolabi on his appointment as CMD and wished him a happy birthday. He also commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for appointing a seasoned medical practitioner to lead the hospital, highlighting the significant improvements under Dr. Afolabi's leadership.
The hospital's Board and management expressed their gratitude to Honourable Salam, saying "Thank you, Honourable Bamidele Salam, and God bless you." This act of kindness showcases Honourable Salam's commitment to his constituents' welfare and the development of the state's healthcare sector.
